January 18, 2020- Jackson WI – Throughout the month of December, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School students and faculty helped raise money for four local families. In January the families received their donations during a special chapel service.
The Igl, Kremer, Gibour, and Grulke (not pictured) families each received a portion of the money raised through a variety of events including bake sales, servant auctions, and online donations. The students and faculty raised nearly $8,000, which combined with online donations to garner a grand total of $20,761.
Each family was incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community. As the annual presentation is always an emotional event, there was nary a dry eye in the auditorium. For me, being able to present a gift directly to one of the families was a great privilege that helped me to connect with them in a deep way.
Since its start in 2010, the 12 Days of Christmas has raised $193,000 and helped 24 families.
