April 30, 2017 – Jackson, WI – The Kettle Moraine Lutheran girls’ varsity soccer team battled non-conference Lake Country Lutheran Lightning Saturday at noon.
Warmups started off sunny, but clouds quickly covered the sky and a stronger, colder breeze blew in.
Lake Country immediately started the game with a strong possession and an offensive mindset.
Kettle created some great scoring opportunities but was outmatched by Lake Country’s precise movement of the ball.
Lake Country scored at 8:20, 20:40, 55:03, 62:15, 69:14, and 73:05 to clinch the game with a 7-0 win.
Junior forward for Kettle, Kate Aswege, felt Kettle played hard against Lake Country but could work on “staying on marks, transitioning, and being first to the ball.”
Kate enjoys playing non-conference teams because “…we (the team) can use those opportunities to try out new things and see if they’d work…”
Kettle is ready to play hard its next game against non-conference Shoreland Lutheran Pacers on Monday, May 1.
