April 15, 2023 – Fond du Lac, WI – On Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 6:09 p.m., a Fond du Lac County Sheriff K9 deputy stopped a vehicle on I41 northbound near USH 151 for multiple traffic and equipment violations.
During the course of the traffic stop the occupants said they were traveling to Fond du Lac but lied about being pulled over by the Wisconsin State Patrol minutes earlier, in an apparent attempt to convince the deputy to let them go since they had just been stopped.

Additionally, the deputy observed multiple indicators of other potential illegal activity. K9 Rip was deployed for an open-air sniff and positively alerted on the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located the following approximate quantities of illegal drugs: 16 grams of cocaine, 16 grams of crack cocaine, 100 MDMA (commonly referred to as ecstasy) pills, 72 grams of THC, and almost $1,000 in US currency.
The passenger, a 41-year-old Milwaukee man who is currently on parole through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for possession with intent to deliver cocaine and felony bail jumping, was arrested for numerous drug related and other charges and is now in custody at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
