June 18, 2018 – Hartford, WI – Watch for an announcement later this morning regarding a decision on whether the July 4th fireworks in Hartford will be a go this year.

A week ago today Hartford City Administrator Steve Volkert said they didn’t have enough money for fireworks and they needed to collect about $7,000 in seven short days.

After city leaders put out a cry for help, businesses and neighbors started donating.

Whether the community reached the  $9,000 by Monday, June 18 will be announced today.

Last May the Hartford Chamber sent a standard letter in the utility bills asking neighbors to donated to the fireworks.

Vokert said the time is short to get funding together. Click HERE to contact the Hartford Chamber of Commerce if you can help.

This year’s fireworks in West Bend are sponsored by Horicon Bank.
