Jackson, Wi – Julia L. “Judy” Kuhn, nee Ostrenga, of Jackson died on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at her home at the age of 101. She was born December 24, 1923 in Oconto Falls to the late Michael and Louise (nee Gallas) Ostrenga.
On June 19, 1943, she was united in marriage to Arthur S. Kuhn. The couple then lived in West Allis until settling in Jackon in 1959.
For many years, she worked as a chef, including at Twin Oaks Country Club near Jackson and the Coachman House in West Bend. She also worked with her husband at their business, Kuhn’s Body and Hoist as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of Ladies Auxillary VFW Post Jackson.
Survivors include 4 children: Ronald of Deforest, IL, Joan of West Bend, Gale (Jim) of Jackson and Kenneth of Waubeka; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Stanley Ostrenga and Ray Ostrenga; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Art on January 27, 2005, 1 son Howard, 1 daughter-in-law Georgia, and 8 siblings.
The family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation on Thursday, April 17 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 12 noon at the Schmidt Funeral Home, with a reception following. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park.
