Jim Geldreich, chairman of the Washington County Republican Party, received the Terry Kohler Award during ceremonies at the Wisconsin GOP Convention held in Oshkosh on May 18.
With Geldreich is Rep. Dan Knodl, state Assembly District 24.
The citation is named in memory of Terry Kohler, a prominent state businessman, philanthropist and Republic activist who died in 2016.
Geldreich, a West Bend resident, was cited for his leadership and dedication to the county organization.
He has served as chairman of the WCRP since 2005. The presentation was made by Andrew Hitt, Chair of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. The WCRP also received the GOP’s “Wisconsin Award” for the organization’s many activities promoting voter turnout and very high levels of volunteer involvement. Washington County has been in the top five in the state in terms of voter participation for many years.
