March 24, 2020 – Washington Co., WI – Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County is working to provide critical services to senior citizens across Washington County. Staff at Interfaith Caregivers wants to reassure the community how it is moving forward during this time. A note is below.
Our priority remains the safety, health and wellness of our volunteers, clients and staff. It central to all that we do at Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County.
Today’s announcement from the governor’s office will mean the following for Interfaith’s services:
Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County will continue to provide ESSENTIAL, LIFE-SUSTAINING SERVICES throughout this COVID-19 Pandemic – as long as we have volunteers.
• Only these ESSENTIAL health-related patient treatments and food security trips will be continued – as long as we have volunteers:
o Cancer Treatments
o Dialysis
o Life-sustaining Treatments
o Food Deliveries from the Food Pantry• We have a limited supply of Facial Masks, Hand-Sanitizer, Anti-Bacterial Wipes and Disposable Gloves. If you are in need of these for a volunteer assignment, please contact our office at 262-365-0902 for information on how to obtain them.
• All unnecessary transportation, Home Visits, and other Face-to-Face Services are suspended. Volunteers, we ask you please continue to reach out by phone to your client. If you find a client in need of food or other essentials, please contact our office 262-365-0902.
• As a safety precaution, we have made some modifications to our business operations. Our office building will be closed until further notice. Interfaith staff will remain available by phone and email. Our phone system allows us to maintain all communication at the office or at home. We will be monitoring our phone lines, so please do not hesitate to leave a message!
Interfaith remains committed to serving the needs of our senior community and we apologize for any inconvenience our modified operations may cause. We appreciate your understanding as we make these difficult but necessary decisions in the best interest of all of you who are a part of Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County. We will most certainly get through this – together!
