Washington County, WI – School administration meeting this afternoon and weighing the winter weather warning for Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
The National Weather Service is predicting heavy snowfall after noon on Tuesday with the possibility of 6 to 9 inches of snow inland.
Slinger superintendent Jim Curler said the Slinger School District has cancelled school on Tuesday. “Due to predicted dangerous weather conditions, the Slinger School District will be closed TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 9, 2024. No after-school activities. No Kool Kids.”
IMPORTANT MESSAGE from Jeff Walters, Superintendent of the Hartford Union High School District: Due to the Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service and forecast for extremely dangerous weather conditions across parts or most of our district’s 225 square miles, Hartford Union High School will be closed tomorrow, January 9. All scheduled school activities and any events at HUHS are also canceled. This is a no-school day, and no virtual learning is scheduled. Enjoy your day!

Good Evening Germantown School District Families,
Due to impending weather conditions, the decision has been made to cancel school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9. After consulting with the National Weather Service, surrounding school districts and determining the most severe conditions are predicted for 9 a.m. and later tomorrow morning, we have made the decision to cancel the full school day.
Thank you for understanding the need to cancel school and ensure the safety of our students and staff. There will be no virtual learning for students or before/after school activities tomorrow.

Germantown School District
Kewaskum School District – Due to inclement weather, there will be no school on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. This includes St. Lucas and Holy Trinity schools.
Erin School District – classes cancelled Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
West Bend School District – Due to the predicted snowstorm and resulting poor road conditions that could impact safe travel especially during an early or regular dismissal, school is canceled for all West Bend School District schools on Tuesday, January 9.
This includes all practices and activities. In addition, no distance learning is scheduled in place of in-person instruction. All WBVA students will continue with instruction as planned.
Other schools are expected to follow suit.
