Law enforcement wearing ice-rescue suits respond to man lost in marsh off Hwy 60

March 3, 2023 – Jackson, Wi – The Jackson Fire Department called for UTVs from Slinger and Richfield as a rescue is underway for a man lost in a marsh at 1290 State Highway 60.

UPDATE | At 2:10 p.m. Patient in inflatable raft and emergency crews working to get to land at Church Road and Pleasant Valley Road.

UPDATE | At 2 p.m. Hartford and West Bend ambulance were called to the scene along with Germantown ambulance and Cedarburg Fire Department.

The initial call came in after 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023.

The location is 3 miles west of the Ozaukee County line near Church Road.

Early reports indicate rescue crews are “knee deep in water” and an inflatable raft has been requested along with “ice rescue suits.”
