One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident on I-41 northbound near State Highway 23 late Tuesday morning. Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says two trucks and a minivan were involved in the crash; one was a semi, another was a tow truck hauling a flatbed with vehicles, and the third vehicle was a minivan.
The driver of the semi-tractor trailer was uninjured, people in the van weren’t seriously injured, but the other driver in a truck was killed.
Two people were killed in a three vehicle accident in nearly the same spot less than two weeks ago. Chief O’Leary says people have to slow down for maintenance being done on the highway and pay attention to the lane closed ahead signs. He stated the latest accident occurred just south of a sign that warns motorists a lane is closed a mile ahead.
