It’s a story you’ll read first at http://www.washingtoncountyinsider.com as a concept plan is being floated to construct a new sports complex, hotel, and senior living area in Jackson.
Phil Dahlberg, a local attorney with Dahlberg Law Group, is the one behind the development.
The concept plan features indoor basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields, batting cages and possibly a hotel all located north of Hasmer Lake and east of Highway P in Jackson.
The concept plan details a 152,862-square-foot sports complex with a 12,858-square-foot fitness center, retail area and an orthopedic clinic.
The sports complex would feature an indoor soccer field, 10 indoor volleyball courts, five indoor basketball courts, a 24-hour fitness center, batting cages and golf-hitting area, lobby and locker rooms.
Plans for the Jackson Sports Complex were drafted by Kraig Sadownikow of American Design Architectural Group Inc.
The Jackson Sports Complex would provide ample parking, satellite retail and a proposed four-story hotel that would be adjacent to a pair of two-story senior living facilities and a 3,000-square-foot bank.
The 12-page proposal includes the above concept drawings along with a letter from Sadownikow.
Village Administrator John Walther said this proposal is very, very early in the process. The concept plan will go before the Jackson Plan Commission at its June 30 meeting.
Dahlberg was out of town over the weekend. We’ll bring you his comments shortly.
