A Huey 369 helicopter to make appearance at The Moving Wall™ coming to Germantown in September.
The Germantown American Legion Post 1 will host the Vietnam Moving Wall™ on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-5.
On Sept. 1,The Moving Wall™ will arrive in Germantown. It will be on display at Kennedy Middle School athletic field. The Moving Wall™ is a half-size replica of the Washington, DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
There are currently 58,307 names on The Moving Wall™; 14 of are from Washington County including five from West Bend, four from Hartford, three from Kewaskum and two from Germantown.
A number of events will be held over five days in Germantown including a Healing Field®, featuring a display of hundreds to thousands of American flags.

Vietnam era veterans will experience a unique “Welcome Home” parade similar to those held for WWII veterans experiencing the Honor Flight.
The American Legion Post 1 banquet hall in Germantown will be transformed into a hands-on Vietnam era educational experience and a full-color keepsake book, will be available for sale documenting the local ties to The Moving Wall™.
