House fire on Mc Kinley Avenue in Hartford, WI | By Tony Burgard

Hartford, WI – At 9:54 a.m. on November 22, 2024, Hartford Fire & Rescue responded to Mc Kinley Avenue for the report of smoke in a home.
Upon arrival, the first arriving fire unit found the home to be filled with smoke and the homeowner standing outside.
It was confirmed all occupants and pets had evacuated the building. Hartford Fire & Rescue firefighters arrived shortly after and made entry to extinguish the fire which was located in the kitchen.
After the fire was extinguished overhaul was conducted to ensure the fire had not spread into the wall space of the kitchen, and that no smoldering fire existed.
EMS crews provided rehabilitation efforts to the firefighters.
No citizens or fire rescue personnel were injured in this incident. Mutual aid assistance was provided from Slinger Fire Department and St Lawrence Fire Company, along with help from Hartford Electric Utility and WE Energies who secured electric and gas utilities.
The building’s structural integrity was not affected, but smoke spread included the entire building, with fire damage to the cooking area of the kitchen. Fans were used to complete ventilation of the house with fresh air. A fire investigator from Hartford Fire & Rescue conducted an origin and cause fire investigation, and upon completion the property was turned back over to the homeowner.
