May 6, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – Names have been released following a two-vehicle crash Friday, May 3, 2024, in neighboring Fond du Lac County.
On Friday, May 3, 2024 at 4:26 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call of a two vehicle crash on Cty Q in the township of Taycheedah.  The initial caller indicated that there were two persons involved in the crash and that one had been ejected from the vehicle. Â
Fond du Lac County deputies along with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Calumet Fire Department and First Responders, Mt. Calvary Ambulance and the City of Fond du Lac Ambulance responded to the scene. Â
Personnel began life saving measures on the 77-year-old Fond du Lac man that had been ejected from the vehicle.  UW Med Flight was requested to the scene due to the serious nature of the male’s injuries.  A 34-year-old female from Fond du Lac was driving the second vehicle involved and was uninjured. Â
The Sheriff’s Office reconstruction team determined that the male was eastbound on Cty Q near Stenz Road
 The female driver was westbound on Cty Q and performed a left-hand turn into a residential driveway in front of the path of the male driver.
Neither alcohol nor speed were contributing factors in the crash. Â The male is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Â At this time the investigation is ongoing. Â
