Washington County Sheriff Investigators are working closely with our law enforcement partners throughout southeast Wisconsin on these investigations, as similar offenses have been occurring throughout this region. We are utilizing all resources available to bring these criminals that prey on the elderly to justice.
We are asking our citizens to be diligent and report any suspicious behavior they observe. These criminals target elderly residents and confront the victims about doing work on their house.
This work is commonly in the form of driveway sealing or utility work. If someone that you are not expecting arrives at your house to do work be extremely cautious.
You should secure your house and contact law enforcement if there is any question to the validity.
