Holy Angels December 2024 Students of the Month | By Michelle Spaeth

West Bend, WI – In an effort to recognize academic achievement, personal growth, and dedication to Christian values Holy Angels School in West Bend, WI highlights 3 students for the month of December 2024 including Arya Sternig, Haddie Wilichowski, and Zander Ruhland.

6th Grade:  Arya Sternig may be the most well-rounded student at Holy Angels. She is a responsible and hard-working girl who excels in academics as well as creative pursuits. Arya has checked out more books from the library and completed the most independent math lessons than any sixth grader. She cares about the quality of her work and is not afraid to ask questions. She listens when teachers give her feedback and adjusts her work accordingly. Arya also plays guitar, sings in choir, and is good at art.  She is a class representative in the student council.  With all these skills, Arya’s future is wide open.  She says she wants to be either an author, scientist or teacher when she grows up.

7th Grade:  Haddie Wilichowski is one of those students who always greets teachers in the hallway and asks how their day is going. She is a kind person who can be counted on to help out in every situation. Her teachers see she is a good friend and is growing into a strong leader. She is commended for her work patrolling with the K3 kids who adore her, and for serving at Mass. Haddie is a good student who works well in groups as well as independently. Outside of school, Haddie is involved in dance, performing at a Bucks game. She wants to be a nurse or with the Radio City Rockettes.

8th Grade:  Zander Ruhland is an outgoing and respectful student. He can be counted on to willingly partner with any other student in the class. His teachers notice that he has become more focused on academics this year, consistently doing good work. In science, he aced the genetics unit. Zander is an important part of  the Holy Angels community, contributing by serving at mass and patrolling at the end of the day.  He enjoys basketball and playing with his dog.  In fact, he hopes to grow up to be a veterinarian.
