2 people seriously injured in high-speed accident in Sheboygan County | By Lt. Gottsacker

December 27, 2020 – Sheboygan Co., WI – At approximately 9:44 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received 911 calls about a two-vehicle high-speed accident on I-43 north on Foster Road in the Town of Holland.

Upon arrival deputies located one  vehicle in the east ditch that was occupied by two individuals from the Manitowoc are with non-life-threatening injuries who were assessed on scene.

After a search, the second vehicle was located in the west ditch of I-43 south, north of County Road KK which is approximately 3/10 mile north of the collision scene. This vehicle was occupied by two individuals from Sheboygan with serious injuries.

The passenger was transported via ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital and then taken by Theda-Star Air Ambulance to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah.  The operator was transferred from by Flight-for Life to Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Impairment is believed to be an issue and the incident is still under investigation.  I-43 was partially shut down during this incident.  Names of the individuals involved will not be released at this time.

Public safety resources assisting at this scene were: the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s office, Oostburg Ambulance, Oostburg Fire Department, Orange Cross Ambulance, Sheboygan County Highway Department, Flight-for-Life & Theda-Star Air Ambulances
