Hello, we are the Heimerl’s and we are a family of 5 – Nathan, myself (Dyla), Kendall, Kaitlyn, and our 3-year-old Boxer, Murphy. We bought him in the fall of 2020.

Nathan works as a Cadillac Service Advisor for Heiser in West Bend. I work from home, as a Licensed Broker’s Assistant for Star Properties. I also have a part-time job a couple of days a week and weekends. Kendall is a senior at WB West and plays varsity basketball. Kaitlyn comes to HAS as a 5th grader. She spent her elementary years at Green Tree Elementary in West Bend. We’ve been long-time residents of West Bend, but maybe hoping one day to move to Kewaskum where Nathan and I grew up, and to get back to the ‘small town’ feel again.

We decided to make a change to a private school for Kaitlyn for many reasons, quite frankly. The comfort of being in an environment/community that shares similar morals and values as our family does, and the importance of having her focus more on her faith and traditional education. We’ve always talked of wanting to send the girls to a private school setting; unfortunately, it just wasn’t something we could make work. With that, we are so grateful to be able to finally transition Kaitlyn out of the public school district and into Holy Angels. Thankfully, Kendall only has one year left in West Bend and then she’s off to college.

We have been long-time parish members of Holy Angels and have always loved it, so it was an easy decision when choosing which school we wanted for Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn’s transition has gone so smoothly. She loves her teacher, the friends she’s made, and playing volleyball for Holy Angels. So often, I think back and wonder “What was I so nervous about?” Mrs. Spaeth, the entire staff, teachers, and families, have welcomed us with open arms. I can’t even put into words how easy, pleasant, and stress-free they have made this transition for our family. I’m sad that Kaitlyn couldn’t have attended sooner, but I’m sure thankful, grateful, and blessed that she at least gets to be part of this outstanding community for the next three years.
