Hartford Union High School Superintendent has resigned

April 8, 2025 – Hartford, Wi – A note was sent home to parents today from Hartford Union High School announcing the immediate resignation of Superintendent Jeff Walters.

The Board of Education for the Hartford Union High School District has accepted the immediate resignation of Superintendent Jeff Walters. We thank our community and staff for their ongoing support, as we navigated this process.

The Board is grateful to Dr. Stacy Gahan, who has agreed to serve as the Interim Superintendent for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.

During this time, we have the necessary support in place and school operations continue to be uninterrupted. We appreciate the District Leadership Team, who are committed to supporting our district during this transition.

The Board will explore options to secure a new superintendent immediately.

Further updates regarding the superintendent search timeline will be communicated as information becomes available.
