Washington Co., WI – The Hartford Rotary Club and Hartford Union High School are pleased to announce Elizabeth Hanlon and Cassidy Klebsch were honored recently as Rotary Students of the Month.
The students were given special recognition for their accomplishments at the Hartford Rotary Club’s Thursday noon meetings during the month of October.

Elizabeth Hanlon is the daughter of Melissa and Neil Hanlon. Throughout high school, Hanlon has been very involved in co-curricular activities. She is a member of H-Club, Student Council, FFA, National Honor Society, and the Girls Soccer team at HUHS. Hanlon holds leadership positions in FFA and Student Council where she serves as the Vice President for both organizations. She plays soccer with the Hartford Soccer Club and Hartford Union High School and has held captain’s positions on both teams. Through her involvement in FFA, Hanlon has had the opportunity to compete at the State and National level for the Veterinary Science team earning a silver standing amongst all competing in the country with her team earning third place in the nation. She has attended many conferences to learn more about leadership and community involvement. This includes a conference in Washington DC called the Washington Leadership Conference.
Through her co-curricular involvement, Hanlon has had many volunteer opportunities.
Through soccer, she had the opportunity of helping coach a youth soccer team. Through Student Council, Hanlon has been able to help with the high school’s Veteran’s Day program, the high school’s Day of Service, and decorate downtown Hartford for the holiday season. Through H-Club, she has been able to help with the Toys for Tots Christmas, supply drives and work at the concession stand for home football and soccer games.
After high school, Hanlon plans to attend a 4-year college and major in biology and
minor in Spanish. After that, she hopes to enroll in a physical therapy doctorate program and become a practicing physical therapist.
Cassidy Klebsch is the daughter of Rebecca and Rod Klebsch. Klebsch is a member
of the National Honors Society, President of the H-Club, President of the Best Buddies program and a member of Sources of Strength at HUHS. She has participated all four years in softball and received the Hustle award and served as Captain of the team. Klebsch also participated in the girls volleyball program during her freshman and sophomore years.
Klebsch is a regular volunteer for the Richfield Lions Club, giving time to organizing and volunteering for many events like the Richfield golf outing, Richfield Lions Art at the Mill, Richfield Days, and the Richfield Chicken Roast. She also serves as mass server, eucharistic minister and a catechism teacher for middle school children at St. Gabriel Parish. Klebsch helps out with the Germantown Legion Post 1 Bingo nights and United Way projects such as Heat for the Holidays, Pack Back coalition, the Hope center, and the BIG Yellow House.
After high school, Klebsch plans to further her education at either UW-LaCrosse, UWGreen Bay, UW-Whitewater or UW-Stevens Point. She has an interest in Special Education, Dentistry or Management.
