Hartford Rotary recognizes March Students of the Month | By Ron Schlitt

Hartford, Wi – The Hartford Rotary Club and Hartford Union High School are pleased to announce Natalie Corrie and Annie Nettesheim were honored recently as Rotary Students of the Month.

The students were given special recognition for their accomplishments at the Hartford Rotary Club’s Thursday noon meetings during the month of March.

Natalie Corrie is the daughter of Nicole and Mike Corrie. Corrie has participated in National Honor Society, H-Club, Track and Field, and Cross Country at HUHS. She is also an executive board member of the HUHS Student Council.

Corrie is a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and has attended three mission trips and volunteers her time in children’s ministry. Through Student Council and H-Club, Corrie has helped organize HUHS blood drives, helped with Operation Christmas Child, worked at Enchantment in the Park, and participated in the Salvation Army Bell Ringing campaign.

After graduation from HUHS, Corrie plans to attend UW-LaCrosse and major in elementary education and special education.

Annie Nettesheim’s parents are Jenny and Matt Nettesheim. Nettesheim is a member
of the National Honor Society, the International Awareness Club, the HUHS Pep Band, and has participated in the HUHS Fall Musical (Grade 10,11,12). Nettesheim received a Jerry Award for Legally Blonde (Grade 10) and Spirit of the Jerry’s Award (Grade 12).

Nettesheim has given back to the greater Hartford community by serving as director of
the Erin School Alumni Musical (Grade 9,10,11,12) and playing piano for various community events. After graduation from HUHS, Nettesheim plans to attend the Culinary Institute of America in New York to earn a degree in baking and pastry arts and eventually start a bakery business.
