Hartford Pool Opens this weekend | By Steve Volkert

June 12, 2020 – Hartford, WI – As one of the very few outdoor aquatic centers choosing to open this summer due to Covid-19, we ask that all patrons use the facility with a great deal of understanding that things will be different this Summer.

This facility is heavily overseen by many organizations which all have different guidelines to opening safely.

Because of these guidelines, some portions of the pool will be shut down including the 3-meter-high dive, the sand play area, the water walk play feature and deck activities. Also, to prevent the transfer of the virus, the white lounge chairs have been removed.

You will be allowed this year to bring in your own chairs in exchange. In the Lazy River, single tube will be allowed but the doubles will not. The concession stand will have a limited menu this year and we ask that those in line keep a 6’ distance from those around them.

Plus, the first 90 minutes of each session will be reserved for residents of the City of Hartford only.

After that time, all residents and non-residents will be allowed until such time as our maximum capacity is filled. Please check out the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center Facebook page for hourly updates as to capacity issues.

By everyone working together, we can show that this decision to open the pool was a sound and safe decision in 2020.
