Hartford Police give thanks for support of Shop With a Cop | By Chief Scott MacFarlan

Hartford, WIHartford Police Department’s appreciation goes out to everyone involved with this year’s Shop with a Cop (SWAC) event.

It was another huge success due to the generous donations of time and funding. The SWAC event was held last at the local Hartford Walmart.

This year, Hartford Police were able to serve 17 families for a total of 85 family members.

We served families from two members up to a family with nine members. In addition to the Hartford Police Officers assisting children, officers from the Town of Hartford Police Department and a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper were on hand, as well as members of the Public Safety Cadet Post 9910.

Hartford Police continue to greatly value donation partners, including the businesses and community members who help us each year.

Walmart has hosted the event, Wellspring Church has wrapped all the gifts for many years, and Subway continues to help feed attendees with box lunches.

Again, thank you so much for thinking of others and helping make their holiday season a little bit brighter.
