September 9, 2019 – Hartford, WI – The Hartford Municipal Airport is showing signs of completion.
Landscaping projects are ongoing as work is underway to prepare the grass landing strips and fill in the low areas along the new 3,400 x 75-foot runway.
The airport construction project has come a long way since over the summer.
Landscapers are scheduled to complete their work by Friday, September 13. The painting contractor is planning to paint the runway and taxiways on September 9.
In order to complete the painting of the runway, Runway 9-27 will be closed Monday, September 9.
The contractor will be closing portions of the taxiways during painting operations as well. There will be some periods of the day where access from some of the hangers to the runway is not possible, however the airport is working with them to limit these occurrences.
