April 26, 2019 – Hartford, WI – Even with snow in the forecast the Hartford Fire department is planning on conducting live fire training at a home on Saturday April 27 at a structure located at 3420 County Road K in the Town of Hartford.
The address is located between Hwy 60 and Monroe Avenue.
Fire personnel receive valuable live fire training from acquired structures that is difficult to simulate. The Hartford Fire Department has been using the house and outbuildings last few months for training. This Saturday, the house will be used for live fire training and then will be burned to the ground the same day.
There will be a closure of Highway K during the training and traffic will be detoured to allow for the training to be conducted in safe manner.
Citizens should plan ahead for the road closure and avoid the area.
The road is expected to be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Access to local businesses and dwellings will be maintained but everyone is encouraged to use caution for the safety of all.
