Hartford, WI – The long-awaited replacement of the North Mill Pond Wall in downtown Hartford, WI, will start on August 1, 2022.
Already next week, you will see equipment and materials moving into Centennial Park
followed by the draining of the Mill Pond.
While this work is going on, Centennial Park, along with the sidewalk, which is along the
east end of Centennial Park, will be closed to all pedestrians. As this entire area will be
very dangerous to be around, please stay clear of this area for the entire three months in
which this project is going on.

Immediately following this project, crews will move to Rotary Park to start the dredging of that portion of the river, which will involve both sides of the riverbanks. A pre-construction meeting was held on Wednesday afternoon with most City departments along with contractors and engineers represented.
