VIDEO | Hartford brewpub on agenda for tonight’s City Planning Commission

November 8, 2021 – Hartford, WI – In May 2021 WashingtonCountyInsider.com revealed the news of a plan to bring a brewpub to the Millstream building in downtown Hartford. Tonight, Nov. 8, 2021, that plan is closer to fruition.

The Hartford Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing tonight for consideration of a conditional use permit submitted by Bill Ohm for Rubi Falls Taphouse, 120 N. Main Street.

Ohm said he is using the name Rubi Falls Taphouse as a placeholder for now. “The name is tied to the Rubicon River which flows to the south of the building,” he said.

Ohm plans to use a marketing team to help come up with a name for the establishment. What are your thoughts?

On a history note: The previous establishments at that location included The Underground Lounge in the late 1970s. The Eagles Club had a bar and the site was home to Hackendahl Saloon.
