April 22, 2024 – West Bend, WI – Our dear Lord decided Harold’s work on earth was done, so He called him home, Friday, April 19, 2024, at the age of 79, and now he is free from his pain and sorrow.
Harry was born in Ozaukee County, the son of the late Harold C. Eickstedt and Hildegard (nee Prochnow) Flom. He worked as a machinist at Simplicity for over 30 years.
Harry married Judith E. Wernicke on April 11, 1964. He was an avid Horseman, enjoying Pole Bending, Barrel Racing and Keyhole. Harry also enjoyed riding his Harley’s and fishing on his boat on Lake Michigan, most of all he loved being with his family and friends.
Harry is survived by his wife Judith E. Eickstedt of 60 years, 1 week and 1 day; children Scott (Ann) Eickstedt, Angel Bialk; grandchildren Heather (Cliff) Jensen, Travis and Matthew Eickstedt, AnnDrea Fry (Nicholas Moul), and Cierra (Jay) Schaalma; great-grandchildren Lillian Bialk-Steinhaus, Jason Steinhaus, Arie and Chloe Schaalma. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Stephanie; sisters Nancy Sprague, Patricia Kinas; nephews Robert Sprague, Jason Wernicke and Steven Hupfer; son-in-law Warren Bialk, and daughter-in-law Patricia Eickstedt.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., with a memorial service at 12 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church – ELCA, 2881 Division Road, Jackson, WI 53027, with a luncheon to follow. The burial will be private.
The family has asked for no flowers, however memorials in Harold’s name to St. John’s Church or Interfaith Caregivers would be appreciated.
