October 25, 2021 – West Bend, WI – Rep. Rick Gundrum (R) of the 58th Assembly District penned a letter to the West Bend School Board today asking for curriculum transparency and the creation of policy “that makes it clear that the West Bend School District
prohibits race and sex stereotyping in instruction provided to pupils and in training provided to faculty and employees of the district.”
The letter comes just hours before a meeting of the West Bend School Board at which the board is expected to take action on Item 5F on tonight’s board agenda “Motion to approve social and emotional learning curriculum for grades 4K-6, using Second Step as a primary resource.”
The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. tonight, October 25, 2021, in the City of West Bend Council Chambers at City Hall on 1115 S. Main Street, West Bend. The public is welcome to attend.

Good thing my kids are out of school. The first time we heard about this being taught would be when we would of home schooled them and the district would of lost the tax dollars.
