June 15, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Graduation ceremonies will be held Saturday, July 11 for West Bend East and West High School.
The West ceremony starts at 10 a.m. and East begins at 1:30 p.m. Both ceremonies will be on the high school football field.
In an effort to maintain a safe atmosphere graduates will be spaced at least six feet apart. Each grad is allowed two guests and they too will be socially distanced in the bleachers and on the track.
Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask and hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to the field.
Students will cross the stage when their name is called and pick up a diploma cover. There will be no handshakes from administrators or school board members.
Once the ceremony is over, graduates will pick up their diplomas at the east entrance of the building, where they will receive them in a drive-thru process.
If the weather is crummy, graduation will be postponed to Sunday, July 12 with the West High School ceremony starting at 1 p.m. and the East ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
