Washington Co., WI – Three candidates vying for a seat on the Germantown School Board participated in a voter forum at the Washington County Fair Park hosted by Common Sense Citizens of Washington County.
Candidates included Tracy Pawlak – Seat 1 vs. Sarah Larson – Seat 1, Tom Barney – Seat 7 vs. Michael Pickett – Seat 7. One candidate will be selected for each seat. Each position carries a three-year term. Pickett was not in attendance at the forum.
Questions covered a variety of material including: school district response to COVID, how much input does the school board have in selecting curriculum and how much input should parents have, do you support the adoption of the 1619 Project, and would you support adding to instruction time to make up for lost time in the classroom this past year?

In-person absentee voting is underway; it ends Friday, April 2, 2021.
Election day is Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Polls open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
The deadline for letters to the editor is March 28, 2021.
