Obituary | George F. Hogen, 85, of Hartford

April 29, 2021 – Hartford, WI – George F. Hogen, 85, of Hartford passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Hartford.

George

George was born on September 11, 1935 in Milwaukee to George and Erna Hogen (nee Koszewa)

George graduated from Rufus King High School, Milwaukee in 1953 and went on to serve in the National Guard. George was an honorably discharged Veteran. During his service to our country he worked as a Union carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Local 344 in Milwaukee. He was married in 1958 to Veola C. Hogen (nee Neman). George enjoyed beekeeping, and spending time outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and camping.

George leaves behind 3 handsome sons, Todd (Lisa), Mark (Sue), and Scott (Heather).
He also leaves behind 7 beautiful grandchildren, Brennen, Wallace, Forrest, Dustin, Kyle, Ellis, Esme, and was preceded in death by the wonderful late Ryon. Surviving George is also his adored great-granddaughter, Libby Roever.

He is preceded in death by his Father, George Hogen, Mother, Erna Hogen; Sisters, Ellie Freigang and Rita Walls.

George’s family will gather and receive friends on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 10 a.m. time of memorial service 12 pm. and celebration George’s life. Military honors will be held immediately following the service.

George’s family would like to thank the staff at the Wellington Place. Also, the nurses and staff in the ICU at Hartford Aurora Medical Center for their care and compassion to him.
