Funeral today for Euneva Novotny, 91, Town of Polk

Nov. 9, 2016 – Richfield, WI – Euneva Novotny (nee Becker) age 91 of the Town of Polk died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at the Serenity Villa in Slinger. She was born Nov. 12, 1924 in Richfield to Herbert and Helen (nee Groth) Becker.

 

On June 12, 1943 she was united in marriage to Franklin R. Novotny in Richfield. Franklin preceded her in death on April 19, 2011.

 

Euneva worked on the family farm almost her entire life and also worked at Amity Leather for a short time following her marriage.

 

Euneva is survived by her 2 sons: Frank (Nancy) of Allenton and Ralph (Linda) of the Town of Polk and 6 grandchildren: Eric (Jen), Todd (Jess), Adam (Kristin), Tim (Angela), Rick (Mackenzie) and Keith. She is further survived by her 14 great-grandchildren: Carys, Elise, Sela, Caleb, Hailey, Emerson, Kaelis, Magden, Anders, Freya, Ryzen, Claire, Blake and Ariana, her sister, Joyce Herther of Slinger, her brother-in-law Charles Naab of Hartford and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Helen Becker, her step-father Herman Schlaefer, her husband, Franklin, her son Dale, her grandson Tom, her sister Karen Naab and 3 brothers-in-law: Kenneth Herther, Harold (Delores) Novotny and Art (Alice) Novotny.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Faith U.C.C., 2895 Slinger Road, Slinger, WI with Rev. Sharon Stier officiating. The family will greet visitors at the church only from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. Burial will take place Saturday in Peace U.C.C. Cemetery in the Town of Jackson. In lieu of flowers memorials to Faith U.C.C. are appreciated.

 

The Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend is serving the family.
