Elizabeth A. Johnson, 40, of West Bend, passed away unexpectedly of heart complications on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in Aruba, with her husband at her side.

Liz was born on July 25, 1975, in West Bend, the daughter of David and Nancy (Stuart) Clark. On April 13, 2013, she was united in marriage to Korey Johnson at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Liz was an outgoing person and was involved with numerous activities including, bowling, tennis, and anything where someone needed a partner (in other words – she would try anything once).  She was an avid traveler with the ambition of touching all seven continents.

She later found her calling to be an educator and touched the lives of her colleagues, families, and most importantly, her students. Liz had an amazing sense of humor, quick wit, was an amazing story teller, and was a cheerleader for anyone that needed support.

Her heart and selflessness was larger than life, which was evident by her taking two years out of her life to care for her mother who had ALS. Above all else her biggest love was for her family.  It was of great comfort that at the time of her passing she had a strong relationship with her Lord and Savior.  She will be deeply missed by her husband, family, friends, and all who knew her.

Those Liz leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Korey; her father, David Clark of The Villages, Florida; a brother, Skip (Cindy) Clark of West Bend; two sisters, Kim Schmidt of West Bend and Chris (Matt) Uelmen of the town of Wayne; a grandmother, BooBoo Stuart of Whitewater; her mother-in-law, Patricia Johnson of Wautoma; a brother-in-law, Kurt (Dawn) Johnson of Oshkosh; nine nieces and nephews, DJ, Matthew, and Alyssa Clark, Hannah and Bennett Schmidt and JJ Braatz, Ruth and Ella Uelmen, and Jade Johnson; her canine babies, Otis and Buck; and so many other friends and families hearts Liz has touched.

Liz was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Clark; her father-in-law, Earl Johnson; her grandparents, James “Jim” Stuart, Donald Clark, William Weiland, and Ruth Clark-Weiland.

Funeral services for Liz will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend with Pastor Robert Hein officiating.

Liz’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
