Check out the front-row seats inside the Museum of Wisconsin Art today as it offers a prime view of the installation of the new bridge. The prefabricated bow truss pedestrian bridge will be delivered between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday.
MOWA opens at 10 a.m. and will offer a prime seat to watch the bridge work. Coffee and a sunny seat will make it feel much like a luxury box at Miller Park.
Staff at MOWA came up with the idea after they found themselves glued to the window during the dismantling of the old Ziegler bridge. (VIDEO: Hard to look away)
The bow truss pedestrian bridge will be delivered and then ‘dropped’ into place.
The bridge will have a concrete deck with prefabricated steel trusses that will be painted white.
