Hailing from the Wisconsin Dells area, the Bear Clan Singers & Dancers is comprised of a family led by Rick Cleveland and includes his children, sisters and brothers, and nieces and nephews. Each family member has been taught the ways and meanings of their Woodlands dances with teachings that have been handed down for generations.
Collectively they have won numerous awards and championships at powwows nationwide. They have performed at Olympic events and been chosen for the Native American Dance Theater in New York City. This performance is supported by the Arts Midwest GIG Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
