For the second consecutive weekend, Jackson police made multiple arrests for intoxicated driving.
A 58-year-old Hubertus man was arrested at about 3:30 AM Saturday after squealing tires and speeding down an alley and on Main Street. He was covered with dirt, was bleeding from a fresh elbow wound, possibly from a fall, and had urinated on himself; he refused medical treatment. After failing field tests and having a PBT test of .17%, he was arrested for his second offense.
At about 2:30 AM Sunday, a Slinger officer almost struck a 19-year-old man who was walking on Main Street near Eagle Drive. The man then ran through the parking lot of the adjacent Piggly Wiggly, leaving an SUV parked partially in-traffic. Jackson officers located him in front of the closed store, arguing with his 17-year-old girlfriend. Both subjects were intoxicated. The Germantown woman said she’d been drinking vodka, whiskey, and beer. She failed field tests, had a PBT of .12%, and was arrested for her first offense. The young man was cited for an underage alcohol violation and dropped off at his Town of Jackson home. At about 4:30 AM, Germantown police found the man passed-out behind the wheel of a friend’s vehicle and arrested him for OWI.
The third arrest occurred at about 8 PM Sunday night, after a 38-year-old Town of Farmington did “burn-outs” with his motorcycle and collided with a curb on Western Avenue at Parkway Drive. The man failed field tests and had a PBT of .15%; he was arrested for his fourth offense and for driving with a revoked license.
At 9:30 PM, another officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 45 after a 911 caller reported that it was driving erratically and almost struck construction barrels along the highway. The Mayville woman, 26, said she only had one glass of alcohol, but failed field tests and had a PBT of .17%; she was arrested for her first offense.
