November 17, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 10:35 a.m., a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a 2006 silver Lexus GS on I-41 northbound near Lone Elm Road, in the Township of Eldorado.
The vehicle moved over to the shoulder as if it was going to pull over before increasing its speed and leading the deputy on a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit went north on I-41 into Winnebago County and exited on STH 21, prior to where a Trooper from the Wisconsin State Patrol was located with Tire Deflation Devices.
The vehicle continued traveling west on STH 21 before being terminated at STH 21 and Leonard Point Road in Winnebago County. The pursuit lasted a total of 12.5 miles and resulted in no injuries or property damage. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted during the pursuit.
This same vehicle led the Wisconsin State Patrol on a vehicle pursuit a short time later in Green Lake County. This pursuit was also terminated. Through investigation, the Sheriff’s Department has leads to a potential driver of the vehicle.
