January 28, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies took one man into custody after a large drug bust by the K9 unit. The driver, a 30-year-old Milwaukee man, is currently serving a sentence and on parole for burglary and auto theft, has a pending open court case in Brown County for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and was arrested and transported to the FDL jail to face an additional possession with intent to deliver fentanyl charge in Fond du Lac County.
Drug traffickers use all kinds of creative places to hide drugs they’re transporting into our community. Friday night, K9 Rip and his partner were called upon to assist a State Patrol trooper on a traffic stop. Rip alerted on the vehicle during an open-air sniff and a search was conducted.

The deputy noticed a small black box with a cord attached to it tucked under the front passenger-side headlight. The box had two magnets glued to the back of it, allowing it to cling to metal in the engine compartment. Inside the box was a large quantity of “M-30” suspected fentanyl pills.
Great inter-agency work, and likely more lives saved by the seizure of this significant quantity of suspected fentanyl.
