Hartford, WI – Flight for Life has filed a letter of intent with the City of Hartford, WI, to open a new base of operations.
The new base will be located at the Hartford Municipal Airport. The exact timeframe has not been identified, but the goal is for the base to be open late 2022/early 2023.
This expansion will advance Flight for Life’s mission to provide Wisconsin communities with research based critical care transport services, while decreasing response times to the northern service area.
This notice signifies the start of the second phase of Flight for Life’s overall strategic plan.
This desired expansion project follows the opening of the Burlington, Wisconsin, base in November 2021.

“At Flight for Life, our goal is to reduce the timeframe for patients to arrive at tertiary care centers across southeastern Wisconsin allowing them to receive the appropriate care needed” said Leif Erickson, Executive Director of Flight for Life.
FFL has been a dedicated community partner for 38 years and this expansion is another example of Flight for Life’s commitment to the communities of Southeastern Wisconsin.
“We look forward to working with the members of the City of Hartford leadership team in the near future and are eager to better serve all of the communities surrounding Hartford,” said Erickson.
