Flags ordered lowered to half staff in memory of Astronaut and Senator John Glenn

 

April 6, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – Flags will fly at half staff today across Washington County as a mark of respect for the memory of John Glenn who will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.  A live feed of the service at Arlington National Cemetery is available by clicking HERE.  The service is scheduled to begin 8:20 a.m.

Glenn died in December 2016 at the age of 95.

 

Legendary Marine, Astronaut and Senator John Glenn will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery April 6. The ceremony will be begin at 0920 EDT and conclude at approximately 1035 EDT.

 

Gen. Robert Neller, Commandant of the Marine Corps, will serve as funeral officer, provide remarks and present Sen. Glenn’s flag to his wife Annie. The ceremony will be executed by Marines from Marine Barracks Washington.
