Washington Co., WI – The Governor has signed Executive Order No. 212 ordering the flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff on Sept. 11, 2024, out of respect for the nearly 3,000 individuals who lost their lives in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
Additionally, the Executive Order for Sept. 11, 2024, marks a state Day of Service and remembrance to encourage all Wisconsinites to commit acts of service and give back to local neighbors and communities in commemoration of the lives lost 23 years ago.

- In neighboring Dodge County there will be a the 23rd annual Silent Parade starting at 8 p.m. in Juneau. Click HERE for details.
- Kewaskum will hold an event at the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and Education Center on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 1 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the memorial site, 1308 Fond du Lac Avenue, Kewaskum, Wisconsin, 53040. Keynote speakers include Ronaldo Vega and Michael Kenny, both of whom responded in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks. The ceremony will also feature patriotic music performed by the Kewaskum High School band and the Honor Guard from American Legion Robert G. Romaine Post 384. Keep in mind there is heavy construction and detours on Highway 45 so leave plenty of travel time if you wish to attend the event.
