First-place spellers don’t flinch at etymology and hemorrhage

St. Boniface seventh grader Elliot Lehman repeated as the champion of this year’s Lumen Alliance Spelling Bee.
Lehman is a student at St. Boniface in Germantown and he correctly spelled etymology and hemorrhage to claim the top spot.

Holy Angels eighth grader Sam Cooley took second place honors.  Other schools participating in the event included: St. Katharine Drexel (Beaver Dam), St. Peter, St. Frances Cabrini. St. Mary, Holy Trinity, St. Kilian, and St. Gabriel.
The annual event is sponsored by the principals of the Lumen Alliance which includes Catholic schools in Washington and Dodge counties.
