May 31, 2017 – West bend, WI – The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Wisconsin will hold a final leg event in West Bend on Wednesday evening June 7.
The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. at the Regner Park pavilion; the run begins at 6 p.m.
The course is about 1.5 miles and will loop around the park. The run is open to the public and families with the suggested purchase of a $15 2017 Law Enforcement Torch Run t-shirt.
After the run there will be a small cookout in the park.
The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics Wisconsin is to raise funds for and awareness of the Special Olympics movement.
LETR participates in events for Special Olympics year round.
On June 5-8, hundreds of law enforcement officers from around the state will participate in the 31st Annual Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run to carry the Flame of Hope to the State Summer Games in Stevens Point.
There are runs and bike rides scheduled in more than 30 Wisconsin communities during these dates and organizers are excited to bring the event to West Bend.
