March 1, 2024 – Fond du Lac, WI – Â Two people are facing felony charges in connection with the death of 33-year-old Ashley Calo of West Bend, Wi.
According to the criminal complaint the incident was allegedly supposed to be a drug deal but it ended with a fatal stabbing. Annaka Trudell, 20, of Fond du Lac has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide.

The criminal complaint also accuses Dawson Miller, 21, of Fond du Lac, of felony murder and aiding or harboring a felon. His preliminary hearing is March 8, 2024.
Miller is being held on $1 million cash bond and Trudell, who has a preliminary hearing March 8, 2024, is being held on $2 million cash bond.

February 15, 2024 – Fond du Lac, WI – Â The circumstances surrounding the death of Ashley Ann Calo are now being considered a homicide by Fond du Lac Police. On Wednesday, February 14, 2024 the Fond du Lac Police Department made an arrest in the alleged homicide case of Calo which occurred following a crash on February 13, 2024.
February 14, 2024 – Fond du Lac, Wi –Â On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, police in Fond du Lac responded to a car crash where the driver was dead and a 3-year-old was unharmed in the passenger seat. Police deemed the death “suspicious.”
On Wednesday afternoon, February 14, 2024, with the assistance of the City of West Bend Police Department, Annaka Winter Trudell was taken into custody without incident in West Bend (WI).
Fond du Lac Police said, “this is a significant development,” and the investigation remains “ongoing and very active.” No further information is being released at this time.

February 13, 2024 – Fond du Lac, WI – On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 6:23 p.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and Fire/Rescue responded to the area of W. Follett Street and N. Main Street for a single vehicle crash. The vehicle ended up striking landscaping bricks and came to a rest sitting atop a cluster of bushes.
