Woman killed in sledding accident in Town of Farmington

January 23, 2021 – Town of Farmington, WI – On Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 3:53 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a sledding accident at Camp Awana, 9025 Camp Awana Road in the Town of Farmington, Washington County.

The caller reported a 50-year-old female veered off course down the sledding hill and crashed into a brush area and several trees. The subject was ejected from the inner tube and was laying unresponsive on the ground at the bottom of the hill.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies, Fillmore EMS, Newburg EMS, and West Bend Intercept responded to the scene. Milwaukee Flight For Life also assisted with rescue efforts.

The patient was ultimately transported to Froedtert Milwaukee, however at approximately 9:30 p.m. she had succumbed to her injuries. The victim is an Arlington Heights Illinois resident and was here visiting family.

The victim’s name is being withheld at this time.
