Preliminary investigation shows that Charles Thompson (52 years old, from Reeseville, WI) was operating a 2007 Honda motorcycle east on CTH C, west of USH 151. The motorcycle struck a deer that was crossing the roadway. Thompson, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and later pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.

On September 18 at 11:36 pm, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motorcycle versus deer crash on County Trunk C west of US Highway 151 in the Township of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 52-year-old male was operating a motorcycle east on County Trunk C near US Highway 151. The motorcycle struck a deer that was crossing the roadway. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and died from injuries sustained in the crash. There were no other passengers on the motorcycle.
Assisting at the scene was Beaver Dam EMS, Beaver Dam Fire, Dodge County Emergency Response Team and the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
The identity of the 52-year-old driver is being withheld pending notification of family.
