October 11, 2020 – Dodge Co., WI – On Saturday, October 10, 2020 at approximately 2:25 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on CTH-T south of CTH-TT in the Town of Elba, Dodge County.
Initial investigation shows that an SUV (operated by a male from Burnett, Wisconsin) was traveling north on County Highway T. A passenger car (operated by a male from Madison, Wisconsin) was also traveling north on Cth T and was rapidly approaching the rear of the SUV.
The passenger car attempted to pass the SUV on the left, but the vehicles collided. The passenger car went off of the left/west side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.
The SUV went off of the right/east side of the roadway and overturned. The driver of the SUV and his passenger (female from Burnett, Wisconsin) suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Columbus Hospital for treatment. The driver of the passenger car was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
The crash is currently being investigated by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
Assisting on scene were: Columbus Fire Department, Columbus Police, Lifestar EMS, MedFlight helicopter, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain and Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
