VIDEO | Large turnout of families at Slinger Fire Department open house

Slinger, Wi – Families in Slinger poured into the Slinger Fire House to take part in activities during Fire Prevention Week.

Firefighters were on hand to guide little ones through safety exercises like how to escape a smokey building, the best place to aim a hose while fighting a fire, and tips on CPR. Plus… there were snacks, stickers, and a 2-story slide.

Fire Prevention Week is observed each year during the week of October 9 in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, which began on October 8, 1871, and caused devastating damage.
