Slinger, Wi – Pull on your cowboy boots and come explore Cedar Springs Ranch, 3128 Slinger Road, on Saturday, August 17. The free event features horse rides, trail walks, live music, and more.
“Cedar Springs Ranch is a healing-through-horses facility,” said executive director Kelly Balsewicz. “On Saturday we want to share the comfort and carting our ranch brings, especially to kids who have developmental disabilities.”
Balsewicz has seen firsthand the impact of equine-assisted therapy.
“We provide activities and riding for people with emotional, physical, and learning disabilities,” she said. “The experience, which impacts mind, body and soul, is adjusted to accommodate whatever level the participant can accomplish.”
